This unique 18th century private palace combines magnificent works of art with subtle personal touches that together provide a perfect backdrop for private and corporate events, receptions, state room weddings, meetings and presentations.
The Ground Floor rooms can accommodate up to 250 guests or up to 450 with the use of the terrace during summer months. In the colder months 450 can be accommodated using the Ground and first floor rooms.
Lunch in London or a dinner party
Maximum capacity for lunch or dinner is 120. The Great Room can seat up to 84 with an additional 36 in Lady Spencer’s Room. Up to 40 can be seated at one oval table in the Great Room.
Company presentations and private recitals
Theatre style seating for up to 100 in the Great Room or Dining Room, depending on audio visual requirements.

Spencer House has a dedicated team including full time professional Chefs and Butlers who ensure the highest standards of food and service. They have over 100 years of combined experience within the industry and use their skills to create perfect events. From an initial enquiry through to the end of your event, our team will be present to deliver the highest quality experience.
Our Chefs work closely with clients to create bespoke menus for each corporate or private event. Where possible we use fresh, seasonal produce sourced from our specialist suppliers. Quality of ingredients is of the utmost importance.
We can advise on all aspects of the event from linen and glassware to lighting and entertainment. Every aspect of your event will be taken care of to ensure that it runs smoothly and easily. All of our front of house staff are experienced and are directly employed by the House. There is a high staff to guest ratio (1 to 10 for Receptions and 1 to 5 for Lunches and Dinners). This ensures all of the guests requirements are dealt with quickly and efficiently.

All furniture, crockery, linen and glassware are included when you hire Spencer House. We have a range of antique silver candlesticks and candelabra to decorate the tables. Our silver cutlery was made for Spencer House to a bespoke eighteenth century design. Should clients require specific items we are able to hire these from our specialist suppliers.
The State Rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi which is free to access.
Access ramps are available for use by our guests. There are accessible facilities on the ground floor and lifts to the first floor rooms.
There is a small PA system on site which can be installed by request. All other AV equipment is available through our suppliers.
A secure, staffed cloakroom is always included in the hire of the House.
There is an in-house 24 hour Security presence. Extra officers are assigned to each event
