As part of the exhibition programme of modern and contemporary sculpture in conjunction with Christie's, Spencer House is delighted to announce that the third piece to be shown is Eva Rothschild's Meta. It will be on exhibition from 2nd February to 23rd March 2012.

The work of internationally acclaimed sculptor Eva Rothschild, a conceptual artist from Dublin, is recognized for her use of geometric constructions, as here, where four pieces of triangular polished stainless steel are joined to form a pyramid. Large circles of varying size are punched from the surface, casting contrasting shadows against the sharp edges of the triangles. This important piece from 2004 is among the highlights of a selling exhibition of contemporary sculpture by Christie's to be held this summer.

The exhibition programme launched in October last year with Antony Gormley's Angel of the North, 1996, and was followed by The Man Who Gives Fire, a life-size bronze by Jan Fabre.
