Lecture 2 July
Exploring the art of the impossible – Michael Eden in conversation about his exhibition Form & Transform
Monday 2 July 2018, 6.30pm
Curator Mia Jackson will lead a lively conversation with Michael Eden, whose exhibition of new work, Form & Transform runs 25 May – 28 October at Waddesdon Manor.
Their discussion will explores how, following research for his MPhil at the Royal College of Art (2006-2008), Michael Eden’s work has pushed the boundaries of technical innovation taking creative applications of digital technology to their extremes through the use of revolutionary tools and materials.
Formerly a potter, Eden will describe how he has appropriated digital manufacturing processes for the creation of unique works of decorative arts; using three-dimensional printing to create pieces impossible with the potter’s wheel.
Doors open 6.00pm, conversation starts promptly at 6.30pm, followed by a glass of wine and an opportunity to view the State Rooms.
